If you send in what they asked for and 180 days go by with no decision, your claim can be treated as constructively decided. In plain terms, that means you don't have to keep waiting in the dark. You can appeal.

How you submitted your evidence matters too. Filing through VA.gov or sending it by mail with a postmark now gets stronger protection as timely-filed evidence.
