Today we’re spotlighting Mike King, our Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining United Veteran Benefits Agency, Mike spent years working as a Veterans Service Officer (VSO).
In that role, he worked directly with Veterans who were trying to navigate the VA disability claims process — a system that many Veterans find difficult to understand without guidance.
That experience gave Mike firsthand insight into the challenges Veterans face when pursuing the benefits they have earned.
He saw how confusing the system could be, how important clear information was, and how much of a difference knowledgeable support could make for Veterans and their families.
Today, that experience continues to shape the way he approaches his role as COO.
For Mike, this work has always been about more than paperwork or processes.
It’s about helping Veterans gain clarity in a system that can often feel overwhelming.
